The wait is over!!

Yep- the wait is over- Christopher is going to be a big brother.  SIKE.  You can all breathe again.  Bo- get up off the floor.

This is the best.day.ever!!  C-Dub's anxiously awaited school photos have come in.  I have seriously been asking Christopher's teachers every day when these pictures would arrive.  And now they are here- and they do not disappoint.  These pictures are the cutest thing that has ever happened in this world.  Don't believe me?  Judge for yourself:

Solo shot:

The entire class:

I cannot express how happy that little face makes me.  If you're lucky- you might even get a wallet copy with a little note on the back that reads:
It was great having the crib next to you.
Stay cool.  XOXO

Where's Eddie, he usually eats these damn things...

The nugget got yet another new hat (this one from his peeps in VA- thanks Rapps).  I cannot love this hat more.  But does it remind you of anyone??

Stumped?  Here's a hint: "They had to replace my metal plate with a plastic one. Every time Catherine would rev up the microwave, I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for about half an hour."

Still thinking?  Here's another hint: "Over here? Well this is nothin. But here, well if you dent this, my hair just isn't gonna look right."

That's right- Christopher was channeling his inner Uncle/Cousin Eddie.

Tough Day

C-Dub had a tough day at the office yesterday.  He was totally exhausted when he got home from daycare- and can you blame him?  He ate, drank, rocked, rolled, and kicked all day long.  So we weren't too shocked when we saw this while feeding him dinner:

Cleveland Clambake

This past weekend we hosted a clam bake at our house.  And by hosted- I mean that we have a house that people came to.  Other than that- we sat back and let our dear friend Brooke do all the work.  C-Dub showed off all of his tricks (laughing, rolling, head crawling, etc...) to the clam bakers.  He even capped off the night by "allegedly" peeing on our friend. Innocent until proven guilty Christopher!!  Mommy's got your back.

The company was great, the weather was perfect and I am told the food was delicious- and I'll take everyone's word for that- as I'm not about to eat that seafood.  Here are a few pictures from our lovely day:

Chicken anyone?

A horse is a horse of course of course

During our most recent trip to St. Louis, we took a nice family stroll around an adorable little park/walking path.  While El Nugget was too young to enjoy the playground, he did get to check out the horses.  Now if you know me, you know that I do not like animals- they are NOT my friends.  But my little man is different, he sized that horse up and had no fear!

What are you looking at?

My favorite boys:

Pardon the picture quality- but we forgot the good camera.

2 more weekly photos- and still getting cuter!!

Here are C-Dub's latest weekly photos.  It is definitely more challenging to get a shot of this little roller.  The majority of this week's photo shoot was spent eating toes (I'm incredibly flexible).  The little man was much more interested in his feet than the camera- but we made it work!

Edible

I seriously cannot handle this face sometimes- I have to restrain myself from eating those precious cheeks.  This is a shameless post- no stories, no witty comments- just a couple of precious photos of my nugget:

Life Lessons

As I mentioned earlier, we spent the weekend in St. Louis with the Britt fam.  Our peeps really took Christopher under their wings and taugh him many life lessons.

Lesson #1- Distraction:  No one will know you stole donuts when you look this cute

Lesson #2- Bribery:  Les paid Ryan $5.00 to sit there and look happy

Lesson #3- Humility:  When you look this good, you don't need to talk about it

Lesson #4- Relaxation:  The 3rd retirement is the best!!

Lesson #5- Class:  They keep it classy in Kirkwood

Lesson #6- Sanity:  These Stiff girls are crazy, how do you stay so calm?

Cousin Time!!

We just returned from a wonderful weekend trip to St. Louis!   It was great to spend time (and my birthday) with some of our favorite peeps!  Christopher Willy really enjoyed playing with Grandma and Grandpa, his aunts and uncles, and all of his cousins.  We took hundreds of picture- zero of which I have downloaded yet.  So we will steal from others to give a little peak into our trip.  Stayed tuned for more posts later (if you can handle the suspense!!!)

New hat

While C-Dub did look pretty slick in his John Deere hat, he has been sporting a much more functional mobile hat these days. This new bad boy is stylish, fun, and apparently tastes fantastic.

Sunday Spelunking

Our fam had quite the Sunday Funday today.  We had bagel day then went for a nice little hike through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.   And by little- I mean we thought it would be about 1 mile- but 2.25 miles later (much of which was uphill)- momma was tired and hungry!!!!  Christopher, however, was loving life.  Post hike, we went and grabbed a quick bite and some ice cream.  It was the perfect day!

I love bagels:

Love in the great outdoors:

Checking out the "ice box" cave:

It's not that easy hiking with an extra 17 pounds strapped to you, so Daddy took over Cee-Dub duty at the half way point.  And it was right around this point that the nugget took his afternoon nap.

My two boys:

30 seconds later...getting carried around is hard work:

Best view around.  Cee-Dub is obviously very captivated:

Cat nap is over because hiking is fun:

If you want to do this again- be super cute:

Well it's decided then.  Hiking will be on our list of new favorite activities!

More weekly photos!!

Here are Cee-Dub's latest weekly shots.  It's been getting a bit more challenging to keep the nugget on the fabric.  He's a squirmy one!

Carrots!

This morning Christopher had his first taste of the wonderful treat known as pureed carrots.  Did they live up to the hype?  You be the judge:

All ready to try them out:

Not too sure what to think:

Where's my bottle?  Carrots are gross, milk is where it's at:

Cinco meses

Yep- el nuggeto is 5 months old today!  And how do you celebrate your 5-month birthday in style? Well you throw on your John Deere hat, jump on the couch, and drool...duh!

John Deere hat courtesy of free crap from one of mom's career fairs.

It's crazy to believe that the nugget is already 5 months old.  His newest trick= quasi-crawling,  Basically he gets up on all fives (hands, knees, and head) and scoots forward.  He is a man on the move!  And I'm afraid last week's ER trip might not be our only one.  This man is wild.

I could eat this face forever!

Sometimes I just can't help myself:

Stitches are out!!

We went to the doc today and she removed Christopher's stitches.  The nugget was quite the trooper (again!)- and only cried a little bit.  Of course the crying was after flirting with the nurse, who pronounced that my babe was her new boyfriend.  Bo and I are hoping she is filthy rich!

Can you blame the nurse for wanting a piece of this:

Three Stitches...no pie

In an effort to be more like his cousin Kamikaze Reese (see the story here: Reesey Gets Stitches), Christopher made a quick trip to the ER Friday night.  I'll spare you the details- but our little bruiser came out with 3 stitches, a fan club of nurses, Cars bandaids, and smiles- all in a day's work!

Getting a lot of street cred at Panera:

His red bandana was in the wash- so we went with a furry hat instead
