Take Me Out to the Ballgame

We took Christopher to his first professional sporting event this afternoon.  Our friends Justin and Jen joined us for the Cleveland Indians vs. Kansas City Royals baseball game.  Unfortunately the Indians did not bring home a win, but we still had an amazing time.  Not only were the seats fantastic (thanks to Daddy's work), but it was also Kids Day and we were allowed on the field after the game to "run" the bases.  Christopher loved it- he was so happy taking everything in.  We waited with all of the other kids for 25 minutes to get onto the field and Christopher was excited and talking throughout the line.  When we were about 1 minute from walking out onto the field- my little nugget decided it would be nap time.

Really into the game:

Check out these great seats:

Seriously- now is nap time?

Family Fun:

Here's a little video of Christopher and I "running" the bases.  #11 is the Cleveland Indians manager, Manny Acta- and yes- he kissed my sleeping son's head??

15-Weeks Old

How is my babe already 15-weeks old?!?!  If he keeps this up, I am going to need to have another baby.  Just kidding- you can pick yourself up off the floor Bo.  Here are Christopher's 12-15 week photos.  Check out those fierce eyes- eat your heart out Tyra!!!

They call me Martha Freakin Crocker

Or is it Betty Stewart??  Whatevs- it doesn't matter.  All that matters is I am becoming quite the crafter.  These days I actually I look forward to going to Jo Ann Fabrics- what the heck is up with that?!?!  And my new favorite past time is checking out other blogs and stealing the ideas.  It takes so much less work than actually coming up with a creative thought on my own.  So here was Friday night's craft:

Yep- that's a "C" made out of crayons.  I don't even remember where I saw this idea, so I cannot give credit where credit is due.  But Cee-Dubs loves it and that is all that counts.

The Making of a Model

So Christopher's agent (ahem...me) has been flooded with calls, offers, requests.  Peeps are coming out of the woodwork wanting to sign him for commercials, ad campaigns, and runway shows.  But the most common request that we are getting is for modeling advice.  How does he gets such fierce eyes??  Well- he has a natural gift AND he has been listening to Tyra during America's Next Top Model marathons.

This is your lucky day folks.  Here is a behind-the-scenes look at Christopher's 15-weeks photo shoot.  It's like Barbizon modeling school for free!!  You're welcome.

(And although I am obviously a talented agent, I lack some video editing skills.  I have no clue why the video is turned or how to go about rotating it.  But considering no one is paying me Christopher for this modeling advice- you can deal with the crooked neck)

Bouncy chairs are da bomb.com

We had yet another wild and crazy night in the O'Neill household.  My oh my how times have changed in these last few months- and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Roly Poly

My boy is growing up too fast!  Last night I put him in his crib on his back, and when I went to get him this morning, he was chillin' on his stomach.  My little man can officially roll over.  Stop the madness!!!!!

Now the other night he showed me this new party trick, but each time he rolled a bit, then came back.  But he was happy as can be this morning sleeping on his stomach.  I tried to tell him that his doctor does not recommend babies sleeping on his or her stomach- but he looked at me and gave me a face that said "cha right, back off".

The good ole' days:

Watch the Nugget Grow

Each week we have been taking a photo of Christopher on a different fabric.  We thought this would be a cool way to see how our little man is growing.  I stole the idea from the blog Young House Love (www.younghouselove.com).  With the help of Aunt Leslie and her PhotoShop skillz- we have the first few weeks ready to go.  Here's a little preview of our little nugget's first 11 weeks!

Flying high

I apologize for the absence this last week.  Christopher and I took a trip to the Lou to ride out the remainder of my maternity leave.  My little man is the best traveler!!!  He has now crossed the midwest via car and plane!  His first plane ride was quite the success.  He didn't cry at all on either flight.  He smiled and made friends with the surrounding passengers.  And flying with an infant comes with many perks.  We got to skip most of the security line- and everyone is so nice when the cutest baby ever is strapped to your chest.  There is, however, a downfall to flying with a babe- I did not have enough hands to even take a picture and document the event.  Fail for mom.

Christopher was living the good life in the Lou.  Shopping, lunches, naps, cuddles, cousin time, massages, and outdoor baths.  Yes- you read that right.  My little nugget got the first class treatment by Grandma.  She set him up with a bath outside to enjoy the St. Louis warmth.  He loved every minute of his time in the water.  And there were no tears when we took him out- because it was quite toasty outside!

Here's a little video of his bathing time.  As I have said before- ignore my annoying voice.
