You would think that since Christopher is hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa all week that he would take advantage of a relaxing vacation. But the little man is all work, no play. He's got to make that money honey. So when he's not working hard at his desk, he's working hard at Grandpa's desk. College doesn't pay for itself!

Sunday Night Sweetness

The Nugget is living it up with G&G Britt this week in the Lou. Tonight's activities involved an evening swim, some basketball, driving his own car and chillaxin in his little house. This is how the good people live.

Dirty Boy

Christopher loves dirt! The boy would spend all day playing in the yard moving dirt from one pile to another. I would prefer he play with clean things like soap. We have compromised at 30 mins of dirt playing each night followed by a long soapy bath.

New hairstyle

Christopher was rocking a new "do" today. He was looking to toughen up his preppy look a bit, so I happily obliged.

That is a date which will live in infamy!  On the 16th of July, 2012, my baby offically became a walker.  Crawling is a thing of the past.  The little dude has been flirting with walking for a few weeks now, but would not fully commit.  Or he was fully committed when we were not looking because on several occasions we saw him take a couple of steps, but once he knew we saw him, he would immediately drop.  But Monday came and the Nugget decided that this was the day he would walk.  And he hasn't look back since.  Watch out world., Willy is walking!!! (and destroying my house at every opportunity)

Sharing is caring

And obviously Christopher doesn't care. He has learned that if the other kids can't get to the toys, they can't steal them. So how do you ensure that they can't get them? Hide them under your tiny little bum.

Curly Chris

The Nugget's hair has been growing more and more. And I was so happy to see that he has the cutest little curls in the back. We are still not to a first haircut stage, but it is getting a bit long. Although I'm not sure I will ever be able to cut those precious locks.

Another dinner delicacy

Christopher truly enjoys the finer things in life. Last night he had another delicious dinner. A world-renowned chef (Mr. Boyardee) created some delicious ravioli, which we paired with asparagus and cheese chunks. The Nugget lives the good life. I will say that he is getting pretty effective with the utensils. One in every 5 times he actually gets the food to his mouth!

Fine Dining

This evening Christopher enjoyed some fine dining- Cleveland style. He devoured some chicken dinosaurs mixed in with shells and cheese paired with a sippy cup of whole milk. He dined on the terrace listening to the waves of the Cleveland Ocean. Okay, so we aren't close enough to the Lake to hear the waves, but we could hear our hoodlum neighbors fight about child support. Is one really better than the other?

Happy Birthday America!

Christopher celebrated his 2nd Independence Day the way a real man should. He went for a ride, kicked his feet up, and ate the bejesus out of a chocolate chip cookie. Watching fireworks is so 2011.

New Patio

Daddy and Uncle Pat slaved away for a few days to build us a new patio. It is a HUGE improvement on the old patio. Not only is it bigger and looks better, but it has rocks around it! And that, my friends, is all you need to get the stamp of approval from Christopher. And his approval is the gift that keeps on giving. 15-20 minute intervals of quiet time = mommy heaven.

BFF Bonding

Christopher and his BFF Michael were reunited again this weekend. It is so fun to watch these two play. Michael walks to what he wants, gets really excited about it and plays. Christopher watches Michael play with his toy, then crawls over, snatches it away from him, and smiles his devilish grin. On the agenda for the next meet up is sharing (Christopher) and defending yourself from crazy crawlers (Michael). All in all, it was nice to spend a few hours with some of our favorite peeps!!
